As announced earlier this week, the Microsoft Intune service is currently being updated to a newer version. One of the new features is the new partly HTML5 based console.
You see on the left side that Microsoft is moving to the same kind of style as currently used in Microsoft Azure.
New features in the announced version are now, or at least in my tenant, available so you are able to create the following profiles:
Android:
- Android Configuration Policy
- Email Profile for Samsung KNOX Standard
- SCEP Certificate Profile
- Trusted Certificate Profile
- VPN Profile
- W-Fi Profile
IOS:
- Email Profile
- iOS Configuration Policy
- SCEP Certificate Profile
- Trusted Certificate Profile
- VPN Profile
- W-Fi Profile
Windows:
- Email Profile
- SCEP Certificate Profile
- Trusted Certificate Profile
- VPN Profile
- W-Fi Profile
- Windows Phone Configuration Policy
Another new feature is the support for multi-factor authentication for Microsoft Intune enrollment setup.
Also in the Admin node of the console you are able to (finally) configure a service account that can be used to pre enroll devices before they are shipped to the users that will be using the device.
With so much new features it is time resume my blog series called “Building a complete MDM solution with Exchange 2013, ConfigMgr 2012 R2 and Windows Intune” which I started earlier this year and transform it to the Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite. So stay tuned 🙂
