Support for Windows Phone 8.1 and Samsung KNOX Standard being added to Windows Intune

Windows-Intune-3Today the Windows Intune team announced the availability of support for Windows Phone 8.1 and Samsung KNOX Standard. As from today support going to be added to Windows Intune stand alone and the hybrid scenario with Configuration Manager 2012 R2 via the Extensions for Windows Intune, this is done in a phased way since not the complete Windows Intune platform can be updated at one time.

Windows 8.1, which is still in developer preview phase adds lot’s of manageability options which can be managed from Windows Intune, also software installation (sideloading) enhancements, selective wipe, support for Web Authentication Broker (WAB) enrollment, and automatic MDM certificate renewal are added.

Next to the updates described above, also updates of the Company Portals for iOS and Android support are being released.
